This last year has brought so much change for me and my family, this time last year I was holding my new baby girl and getting ready to move my family to western Canada. Moving half way across the country (and having two children!) has changed my life forever. The one thing I continue to hold dear are the photos that I revisit and share with my (very conscious) 2 1/2 year old. My recent experiences have led me to change my focus in photography as I attempt to re-open my business here in Alberta. I have decided to leave commercial and product photography behind to venture into wedding and family lifestyle photography. I want to help people capture those moments that can be cherished for a lifetime, your wedding, the birth of your children, playing at the park etc. I am grateful that I can relive my personal moments through photography and I would like capture similar moments for others (I’ll write about this new vision later). The first step in making such a change was to start learning and, after much searching, I found Julie Williams. Julie’s work was inspiring, just what I was looking for, so I contacted her and we set a date for a mentoring day together. It was a perfect day filled with lots of chatting, shooting and the start of a new friendship. Thank you Julie for such a wonderful day and, I hope, many more I’ve attached some pictures from my day with Julie.
I hope you enjoy Cheers.
