I had such an amazing time photographing Peter Desmond & Andrea’s Wedding. Having grown up near Peter Desmond (and not having spoken to him since high school) i was excited to reconnect. Peter Desmond and Andrea had been dating since high school and after 21 years decided to get married in a very intimate service in front of their families. The location was a perfect setting for the love that was to be shared on this day. Everything was magical from the beautiful grounds and the obvious love shared by those who attended. I was really touched when these guys said their vows as they did 21 promises to each other – one for each year together. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the full place not even me. I laughed, cried and was overwhelmed with the love these two shared. They truly are each other’s best friends and i couldn’t be happier they had me tag along and document this for them.
It was also my first time at the venue, The Doctors House, and i have to say how impressed i was with the grounds, staff etc. The meal was also amazing, a very creative take on traditional newfoundland fare… very impressed!
I’m not sure how Peter and Andrea pictured the day unfolding but i can’t think of anything i would change. I hope you enjoy a glimpse into their magical day!
I met Cayla & Andrew In July to take some engagement pictures. I have to admit that, after all these years, i still get a little nervous when i’m about to start working with folks for the first time. I’m so blessed to work with such awesome “easy-to- get-along-with” people. Cayla and Andrew are so sweet and easy to talk to i felt like i’ve known them forever! Here are a few shots from that session. I can’t wait for their wedding in May.
I met Annette when her and Rick were newlyweds so when their ten year anniversary came i was excited to be able to capture this milestone for them. We hiked to Johnston Canyon in Banff and realized not only was i taking pictures of their ten year anniversary but i was taking them on their first Canadian hike! We had a great evening, lots of laughs and some great pictures!
I have written this this 5 times now and keep changing it as i sound so cheesy lol. Nick and Meaghan are the sweetest couple i know. I started to understand just how nice these guys were during our initial meetings and and the engagement sessions. The day of the wedding just confirmed all that i had suspected (as did every person at the wedding who spoke about them). When they entered the reception as man and wife i didn’t think the applause was going to end and the speeches were filled with endless tributes to these guys. Thank you Nick and Meaghan for letting me be part of your wedding. Everything was perfect, a magical day for a very adorable couple. I hope that you enjoy my pictures from their day. Special thanks to my second Lindsay who took care of the men getting ready in Banff while i stayed with the girls in Canmore. Lindsay got some awesome shots during our day and i’ve included a bunch of her pictures below.
