Father’s Day started with some t-shirts and a gift that the kids made. We headed to Emerald Lake for the day, yummy dinner at cilantro on the lake and a hike around the lake. 5.2 KMs and our kids did the full thing themselves (fianna grabbed a short piggy back) i was so proud of them! It’s such a beautiful place and what a great way to spend a day. Of course we stopped for Cows ice cream on the way home
Back in April Leslie contacted me for some family pictures as her brother was home from Thailand with his new fiancée. I was flattered as Leslie and her husband are fellow photographers, always such an honour when a photographer ask for pictures
It was a beautiful evening and her boys are the cutest! I had such a awesome time hanging and getting to know this family and so honoured to capture this special family occasion
My sister came to visit and we always go to crazy weed in Canmore (we have a restaurant in every city and town that we always visit when we are together). It was a cool day and i convinced her to do a little family session before our dinner reservations. I think it might have been little too cold for William because he is usually “all smiles” he wasn’t really into pictures. Its such a rewarding thing to be able to capture life moments for people especially ones as special as your sister
Julie is the best teacher in the WORLD! (according to my son and daughter who has to be dragged from her classroom every morning). Julie and Josh are getting married in August of this year and (unfortunately) i was already booked and can’t shoot her big day but i was able to shoot her winter engagement session in the mountains! I met Julie and Josh at the delta lodge kananaskis, a beautiful location for an awesome couple. It was a beautiful day but was very cold – which ended up being a blessing in disguise because we went for some hot chocolate (where we captured my favorite pictures). I’m so excited for these two and can’t wait to see the pictures from their wedding.
